Lab 6: Chrome

Install Google Browser Google Chrome and Firefox 3.0, try a few websites and compare their performance. For example, youtube, blogspot, msn, and yahoo.

以下2張圖是Chrome與FireFox3.0 在使用上，分頁便利性似乎沒有太大差別，但是，FireFox在加裝許多外掛之後，開啟時間明顯變長，Chrome介面簡潔，相對開啟速度就快，如果對速度很吹毛求疵的人，不彷試試Chrome

Note:
If your Firefox didn't work, you should check settings about proxy. It should be set as proxy.cycu.edu.tw at port 3128.

2. Yahoo 目前遭遇了什麼問題? 為什麼? 請閱讀 The end of Yahoo as we knew it (netWorker, Dec. 2008) 然後加以回答。

在去年5月Yahoo!拒絕讓微軟併購後，股價迅速的下滑，微軟被拒絕後似乎也沒有再次併購的打算因此讓前執行長楊致遠在眾多股東的壓力下下台。
雖然Yahoo!市佔率大約有21%但遠不及Google的63%。
Google搜尋引擎的強大是有目共睹的，加上Google併購了Youtube，但也多虧了有Yahoo!讓Google得以躲避反托拉斯法。
Yahoo令人反感的地方不外乎是他的廣告及信箱垃圾信的氾濫。
相信Yahoo還是有潛力，但還是要先改善會員帳號密碼輕鬆被竊取及無名小站的密碼破解。
